ICC World Cup 2019:New Zealand fight back after Pakistan's Star performance with the ball

A must win for Pakistan team here at Edgbaston is leading into one of the best battles in the World Cup after New Zealand being able to recover from 83 for 5 wickets to 237 for 6 wickets here in a bowler friendly pitch.

It all started with the amazing bowling performances from Shaheen Afridi and ever reliable Amir as New Zealand lost their top 5 wickets for just 83 runs and surely gave  a mini heart attack for others competing for the semi final spot.

But eventually they were able to recover from the tragedy as Neesham and Grandhomme was able to give an amazing fight back.

Jimmy Neesham was the highest scorer for New Zealand as he scored unbeaten 97 runs.Grandhomme was able to get 64 runs on the board.

Highest wicket taker for Pakistan was Shaheen who took 3 wickets for 28 runs.Amir and Shadab took 1 wicket each.

This score of 237 look highly competitive on this pitch but not unchasable for strong Pakistan batting line up.

Watch whether Pakistan will be able to chase this down and keep their hopes alive for Semi Finals from our Live Score Box.

ICC World Cup 2019:Pakistan vs South Africa match preview

Two teams which were expected to get into semis at the beigining of the tournament and who could not get any where near to their true potential throughout the World Cup are going to face each other in our Super Sunday here at London.

Both teams have only managed to get one win in the tournament and ranked at 8 th and 9 th positions of the tournament points table.Any team who are going to loose this match will get kicked out from the tournament and winning team can hope for a outside chance to get into semis.

With top 3 teams New Zealand,Australia and India looking like having a one step on Semis and with England,Sri Lanka and Bangladesh playing very good cricket to out class others, both Pakistan and South Africa will have to be on top of their game here after.

Sunny day is expected in London and pitch looks like having some kind of supportive conditions for the quality bowlers of the both teams.High responsibility will be on the hands of batsmen and any team which bat well has the ability to get a win here as bowlers in both departments look similar with the quality of bowling in a slight green pitch.

ICC World Cup 2019:England vs Afghanistan match preview and playing XI

Two teams who had completely different World Cups are set to lock their horns here at Manchester.Except for the unexpected defeat against Pakistan,England almost had the perfect World Cup coming upto now unless for little injury concirns.

On the other side Afghanistan came up to the World Cup with the same reputation as Sri Lanka,Windies and Bangladesh with their strong bowling attack and with the fact that they have beaten some good teams in recent times. But they were not even able to give a good fight in the matches they have played so far compared to other teams who have won atleast one match.

But still nothing impossible here in the Worldcup and if Pakistan can ,why not Afghanistan make an upset here.In the practise matches Afghanistan came to play with England after beating Pakistan and got beaten very comfortably by the tournament favourites.

England team is expected to try James Vince at the top in place of injured Jason Roy and Afghanistan is expected to play with extended batting line up.Probable XI for both teams are as follows;

ICC World Cup 2019:India vs Australia match preview and playing XI

It is a day of tough competition as two of the major tournament favourites take on each other here at Oval.

Talking about the two teams, both are coming up with winning momentum behind them as Australia has won both matches they played upto now and India has won the only match they played against South Africa.

Few months ago we would have said India is the clear favourite here. But after Australia won the ODI series in India and as they also defeated Pakistan by 5-0 margin in last 3 months,we can assure that Aussies are not going to let India dominate them.

Oval is a good ground to bat on and average 1 st inning score here is 249,but anyone batting first should atleast look for a score of 290 as we reckon to have some edge over the opposition.

Possible playing XI for both team as per our suggestions is as follows:

AUSTRALIA

1.David Warner
2.Aaron Finch (c)
3.Usman Khawaja
4.Steven Smith
5.Marcus Stoinis
6.Glenn Maxwell
7.Alex Carey (wk)
8.Nathan Coulter-Nile
9.Pat Cummins
10.Mitchell Starc
11.Adam Zampa

INDIA

1.Rohit Sharma
2.Shikhar Dhawan
3.Virat Kohli (c)
4.KL Rahul
5.MS Dhoni (wk)
6.Kedar Jadhav
7.Hardik Pandya
8.Mohammed Shami
9.Kuldeep Yadav
10.Yuzvendra Chahal
11.Jasprit Bumrah

ICC World Cup 2019:Sri Lanka vs Pakistan preview and playing XI

Week ago both Pakistan and Sri Lanka was starving to get atleast one win in the table after loosing almost 10 plus consecutive matches. But just after 2 matches into the World Cup,these 2 asian giants have been able to get their names on the points table as they always do in big ICC Tournaments.

Both teams are coming into the game with winning momentum and you can never write them off whe it comes to Winning a World Cup.

Pakistan came back to the tournament with their great batting performance and Sri Lanka came back with their great Pace attack lead by Malinga and Nuwan Pradeep.

Going into the match Sri Lanka will be revealed as this pitch looks better for batting compared to the green pitches they got previously.

Average score here is better here in 1 st inning as it is 243 and second inning average is just 216.It indicates batting first and giving some score board pressure to opponent is not a bad decision at all.

Rain is expected and it can be a shortened game as it was between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

Pakistan might go with the same playing XI and Sri Lanka will most probably need their all rounder Jeewan Mendis to bat at number 7 with his Leg spinning option which will give more assuarance to the team.

Probable playing XI is as follows:

SRI LANKA

1.Dimuth Karunaratne (c)
2.Kusal Perera (wk)
3.Lahiru Thirimanne
4.Kusal Mendis
5.Angelo Mathews
6.Dhananjaya de Silva
7.Jeevan Mendis
8.Thisara Perera
9.Isuru Udana
10.Nuwan Pradeep
11.Lasith Malinga

PAKISTAN

1.Imam-ul-Haq
2.Fakhar Zaman
3.Babar Azam
4.Mohammad Hafeez
5.Sarfaraz Ahmed (c&wk)
6.Shoaib Malik
7.Asif Ali
8.Shadab Khan
9.Wahab Riaz
10.Hasan Ali
11.Mohammad Amir

ICC World Cup 2019::Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan :Pre Match Analysis and playing XI

It is a day of finding the winning momentum here at Cardiff as Sri Lanka take on Afghanistan. Both teams played very badly in the first match they played and both are starving for a win in the World Cup.

Although Sri Lankan batting line up has got some depth on the paper, their performance against New Zealand completely destroyed every expectation of Sri Lankan fans who had a belief on them.

On other side Afghanistan was poor too in both departments and surely must be desperate to get a win and make their country proud.

Going into the day weather forecast do not look good at all and definetly some interruptions are expected during the match.

Pitch is expected to have some help for the pace bowlers and we are expecting a low scoring game here as the average 1 st inning score here is low as 224.

Anyone batting first must look for a score around 270 here and as we think it will be enough for a good game.

Expected playing XI for both teams are as follows:

SRI LANKA

1.Dimuth Karunaratne (c)
2.Lahiru Thirimanne

ICC World Cup 2019:Bangladesh set a huge score in their World Cup Opener

Super Sunday was exciting upto now as we all expected as Bangladesh started their World Cup Campaign in a remarkable fashion.

It all started with South African captain winning the toss and choosing to bowl first.Being put into bat first Bangladesh started really well with 60 runs opening partnership. But lost 2 quick wickets of both openers.

Then experienced batting from Shakib and Rahim almost took the game away from South Africa with good finishing touch from the rest and ended up at 330 at the end of 50 overs.

Highest scorer for Bangladesh was ever reliable Rahim who scored 78 and Shakib added on 75.

South African bowlers were almost clueless but Tahir,Morris and Phehlukwayo managed to take 2 wickets each.

Target of 331 looks like a mountain to climb for South Africa who does not have a very good record in World Cup tournaments with handling pressure. But still disciplined and aggresive batting effort may help them to have a hope on this in a good batting pitch.

You can watch whether South Africans will be able to chase this down live on our score box now.
