It's the debate between experience and inexperience. Especially in a world cup tournament we cannot trust a new look team. Yes, the players may be talented, but the benefit of the doubt should go with the experience. The below team as I mentioned, they have been playing without Mahela and Sanga since 2015. Eventhough they failed in recent months they have the world cup experience. So, these are not alien conditions for those players. This is the best squad Sri Lanka is having at the moment. Every game is pretty important in a world cup tournament. Sri Lanka gotta utilize these players and gotta get the maximum. Furthermore, In a world cup tournament all the teams are coming with some pressure. The team who can absorb and do the handling part are gonna win the match. Finally, Sri Lanka cannot be underestimated anyhow. Their performances in ICC events are impeccable. Sri Lanka must forget the negatives what had happened in the past and gotta come up with the positives to win the WORLD .Squad suggestion for the World Cup is as follows:
