Team suggestion for the Worldcup-Sri Lankan Fan view

It's the debate between experience and inexperience. Especially in a world cup tournament we cannot trust a new look team. Yes, the players may be talented, but the benefit of the doubt should go with the experience. The below team as I mentioned, they have been playing without Mahela and Sanga since 2015. Eventhough they failed in recent months they have the world cup experience. So, these are not alien conditions for those players. This is the best squad Sri Lanka is having at the moment. Every game is pretty important in a world cup tournament. Sri Lanka gotta utilize these players and gotta get the maximum. Furthermore, In a world cup tournament all the teams are coming with some pressure. The team who can absorb and do the handling part are gonna win the match. Finally, Sri Lanka cannot be underestimated anyhow. Their performances in ICC events are impeccable. Sri Lanka must forget the negatives what had happened in the past and gotta come up with the positives to win the WORLD .Squad suggestion for the World Cup is as follows:

1. Niroshan Dikwella
2. Upul Tharanga
3. Kusal Janith Perera
4. Kusal Mendis
5. Angelo Mathews
6. Asela Gunaratne
7. Dinesh Chandimal
8. Thisara Perera
9. Suranga Lakmal
10. Lasith Malinga
11 Isuru Udana
12. Akila Dananjaya
13. Danushka Gunathilaka
14. Lahiru Thirimanne
15. Dasun Shanaka
16. Dushmantha Chameera

3 rd ODI Sri Lanka vs South Africa Preview:Playing XI for the match

South Africans were able to show up with a very good performance in both ODI matches after a very poor show in the Test series.

But still being bowled out for 250 runs,it was more of a Lankan's poor batting show that helped South Africans get an easy win in the second ODI and South Africa can't surely be happy about their batting performance with World Cup coming up.

In Sri Lanka's point of view it was more over nothing performance by them so far in the series and Lankan's will surely have to strengthen their batting line up by removing half players like Thisara perera from top 7 and by putting up new opening pair to get them a good start.

As we expect the possible playing XI for Lankan's can be as follows;

1.Avishka Fernando
2.Upul Tharanga
3.Kusal Janith
4.Oshada Fernando
5.Kusal Mendis
6.Dananjaya De Silva
7.Kamindu Mendis
8.Thisara Perera
9.Isuru Udana
10.Akila Dananjaya
11.Lasith Malinga

Sri Lanka strictly need 7 proper Batsmen in the side and Thisara and Isuru can be used as power hitters in the side. Also they will have 3 pacers and 3 spinners in the team if they can go with this combination.

In other side Lots of changes can't be expected in South African line up and they will go again with only 5 specialist Batsmen .Possible playing XI for South Africa is as follows;

1.Quinton de Kock
2.Reeza Hendricks
3.Faf Du Plesis
4.R.Dussen
5.David Miller
6.A.Phehlukwayo
7.Wiann Mulder
8.Kagiso Rabada
9.Anrich Nortje
10.Lungi Ngidi
11.Imran Tahir

Did poor selection cost Sri Lanka the chance to win an ODI in South African soil?-Sri Lankan fan view

Poor selection has destroyed the triumph. This is not the team that we expected. After losing two wickets during the first phase, it's okay. But during the middle phase(11-40) Sri Lanka have lost 6 wickets. Jeez, that is too much. Sri Lanka gotta focus, especially the middle phase. Middle phases gotta deal with ones, twos and threes. If there is any loose bowling the batsmen can whack those into the boundaries.

Furthermore, Sandakan is an unstable player. Most of us doesn't know why he has been put into the best eleven by the Sri Lankan selectors. Well, it is the time to rethink again... Next match Kamindu Mendis gotta replace Sandakan. Kamindu Mendis has the ability to bowl with two hands plus he is a good batter too...

Accordingly, Sri Lanka can strengthen their batting lineup by adding an all-rounder. So, 5 specialist batsmen, 3 all-rounders and  3 specialist bowlers. This will assist to balance the team.

Moreover, if a batting first team can get runs between 80 to 100 runs just losing a wicket during the first phase. During the middle phase maximum of losing two wickets while maintaining a run rate of 6 runs per over and during the death overs can maintain a run rate of over 10 while keeping the wickets in hand. So, a score over 350 can set as the target. Still anything over 300 is a strong target. If Sri Lanka can protect the wickets during the middle overs it will help to move for the big totals, especially in the big contests.

Finally, Sri Lanka have done a lot of mistakes in ground fielding. So, these things gotta be adjusted pretty quickly before the second ODI. It's a must to win the second ODI for the Sri Lankans to keep any hopes for a series win.

Captain Williamson praise players effort to take a comfortable win

It was a very comfortable win for New Zealand boys against the experienced Bangladesh line up in the 1 st Test as they were able to win it by an Innings and 52 runs.

Pitch was a paradise for Batsmen and it was a very flat pitch to bat on.New Zealand bowlers were pretty patient to make a win out of it as Bangladesh Batsmen were able to score freely in the second inning of the game.

Sarkar and Mahamadulla were able to get their career best scores in the match and it reflected back to the great Partnership by Mathews and Kusal Mendis back in December which gave Sri Lanka a well earned Draw.

But New Zealand bowlers did not let Bangladesh get away from them as they were able to dismiss them quickly after partnership was broken.

Captain Williamson was happy about the patience shown by his bowlers and with the win New Zealand continue to dominate Bangladesh as they take early lead by 1-0.
