It was a great day for the Men in blue as they were able to continue their winning momentum by winning the 1 st ODI comfortably.
Toss went in the direction of New Zealand and they opted to bat first.It was the right decision as we guess but New Zealand were not able to grab the oppurtunity as they were just bowled out for 157 runs.
The reply was ever so professional by the Indians as they acheived their target in 34.5 overs and with 8 wickets in hand.
Shikhar Dhawan guided India in the chase as he scored unbeaten 75 runs.
Player of the match was Mohammed Shami for his 3 top order wickets which he took for just 19 runs.
