Ban vs AFG T20 : Bangladesh limit Afghanistan for 138

First inning of the  Bangla-Afghan clash here at Chattogram has ended up giving more advantage to Bangladesh as Afghanistan only managed to get a score of 138 on the board.

After being able to get a very good start by Afghanistan openers with 75 runs opening stand, the middle order was not able to add value to the start they got as they lost 7 wickets inside just 40 runs as Bangladesh was able to take wickets with ease.

Highest scorer for Afghanistan was Hazratullah Zazai who was able to add 47 runs under his name by hitting the ball all over the park. His opening partner Gurbaz was able to add on 29 runs.

Bangladesh bowled pretty decently and highest wicket taker for them was Afif Hossain who took 2 wickets for 9 runs in 3 overs.

Average 1 st inning score here is 146 runs and the target of 139 looks more than attainable for Bangladesh camp. But still this can be defendable as there was always something for the bowlers here.

Jason Holder dissapointed over Windies performances

From starting the game in typical West Indian style by unstabling the Indian Top order, to loose the game by a huge margin of 318 runs, Windies players got whole lot of things wrong during the four days of Antigua Test.

Game was always on the cards for Windies although India managed to get to 297 with some lower order contributions. But the Windies Batsmen never got going as they were able to add on only 222  runs in the 1 st inning and got worst in the second inning as they were bowled out for just 100 runs.

Jason Holder is highly dissapointed due to the scenario about his Batsmen but pleased with the way Roach and Gabriel were able to keep the well equipped Indian Batsmen to a run rate of just 2 runs per over a long period of time.

Additionally he expects the top order to show some more resistance inorder to perform well in future games.

Root special takes England back on track

The third Ashes Test with the absence of Steve Smith had their very own moments with momentum shifting from one side to another.

179 runs which was scored by Aussies in the 1 st inning looked always below par as pitch looked evenly helpful for the both Batsmen and Bowlers. But England getting all out for just 67 made that runs look like a huge mountain to climb.

Average performance by Aussies in the second inning with a good knock of 80 runs by Marnus Labuschagne gave England a huge target of 359 runs.

But again the Captain Root stood up for the occasion at the end of Day 3 here at Leeds by scoring unbeaten 75 runs which has led England score board upto 156 runs for just 3 wickets.

They need further 203 runs to win with 7 wickets in the hand and match has come upto an even situation and promising a lot for the last 2 days of the match.

Test in balance as New Zealand lower order fight to get a good lead

The 1 st Test between Sri Lanka and New Zealand is continuing its way to end up as a typical Galle Test in spin a friendly pitch.

But this time Sri Lanka seems to be in the unlucky side as they were not able to get a good lead after New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first.

Nevertheless Sri Lanka was able to get a marginal lead of 18 runs and it could have been still enough to get on to the top of the game.

But late order flourishes from New Zealand lower order has been able to extend the lead upto 177 runs which is quite a target to achieve in 4 th innings in typical Galle pitch. Also the inning is not yet finished as they have 3 more wickets in hand which could atleast get them around a lead of 220 plus.

BJ Watling was the player of the second inning for New Zealand with his great batting effort along with the lower order and he is unbeaten at 63 runs.

But still anything below 250 is still achievable here in 4 th and 5 th day and inorder to that Sri Lanka has to stop throwing their wickets away and will have to play really well in a pitch which will have so much of assistance for New Zealand spinners.

West Indies name 13 members Test Squad for the India series

After a not very good World Cup and a tough T20 series against India,Windies have announced their Squad for the test series with some new faces hoping for a major turn around.

One of the most interesting faces coming into the team is 26 year old Rahkeem Cornwall who has been performing so well in domestic cricket in recent times.

Rahkeem is well known for his all round ability with above 24 average in batting and an average of 23.90 in bowling in 55 first class matches.

Rest of the major highlights include  retaining of Keemo Paul who has been taken as an injury replacement for injured Jason holder earlir.

Jason Holder (c), Kraigg Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks, John Campbell, Roston Chase, Rakheem Cornwall, Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Keemo Paul, Kemar Roach

This series is going to be a major tournament for both the teams as this is going to be the first series for both the teams in ICC Test championship.

Sri Lanka name 22 members Probable Test Squad for New Zealand Challenge

Irrespective of the few bad years Sri Lanka has been having a good momentum after the World Cup as they were able to completely outclass Bangladesh Team in 3 ODI matches played at home after finishing 6 th at the World Cup.

Although they struggled in limited over matches Sri Lanka always had a very good momentum in the Test matches irrespective of  all the team changes and injury issues.

But now they are going to face a completely different challenge as they are going to start up ICC Test Championship with 2 match Test series against the strong New Zealand side.

After getting an historic Test win against South Africa in South Africa, Sri Lanka has sticked with their core players who performed well in that series but has added some new faces to increase the depth of the side.

Main star additons for the Squad has been former captains Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Mathews who were out of the South African series and both of these players have been a very important part of wins Sri Lanka got over last few years in Tests.

In addition to the batting depth Sri Lanka has incresed the spining options with the additions of Dilruwan Perera, Akila Dhananjaya, Lasith Embuldeniya, Lakshan Sanadakan,Shehan Jayasuriya and all-round option of  Dhananjaya De Silva.

Full  Probable Test Squad named for the series are as follows ;

ICC World Cup 2019:Match in balance as Australia finishes at 223

Another day another low scoring thriller on our way as Australia just managed to get 223 runs on the board after loosing all their wickets.

Australian batsmen never got their momentum in this inning except for the Super Man Steve Smith .Australia were struggling at 14 for 3 wickets at one stage and Steve Smith did a great job with his 85 runs to get Australia over 220 in a pitch which had some assistance for bowlers.

Smith was the highest scorer and Alex Carey and Mitch Starc helped him with 46 and 29 runs respectively.

England bowlers did an amazing job as Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid took 3 wickets each.

This score do not look like a big score on board, but with the trend so far we are expecting another thriller as England have not able to chase down any score so far in the World Cup and they will have a massive pressure going into the match with lots of home crowd expectations as it is the Semi Final.

We are waiting for another special inning and hope you will join with us after the break to watch the match from our Live Score Box.

ICC World Cup 2019:New Zealand beat India to get into another Final

It was a great game of cricket as New Zealand beat India in the first semi final of the Cricket Worldcup here at Manchester.

It all started yesterday with New Zealand winning the toss and batting first in slightly a tricky pitch. But with credit to Williamson and Taylor they managed to get into a par score of 239.

But it was still a par score in the pitch, but with amazing bowling from Henry and Boult India were restricted to 5 for 3 wickets at one stage.

After being for 92 for 6 wickets at one stage Jadeja and Ms Dhoni did brillianty to build up 116 runs partnership. But Ferguson had the last laugh as India were bowled out for just 221 runs.

It was a remarkable game of cricket and hope you all will join with us Tommorow with the second Semi Final .Cheers!!

ICC World Cup 2019:India going with upper hand into the second day of rain delayed Semi Final

Changes in the history of Cricket World Cup keep getting updated as Rain has become the unappreciated man of the Tournament throughout the series.

After League matches getting washed out ,we are now running into 2 day semi finals as no play was possible yesterday after 46.1 overs.

India was surely the strongest on the board when the rain get going as New Zealand never got the momentum required for a Semi final yesterday. They struggled from the begining and was almost going with a run rate of just 3-4 runs per over in the middle stage.

However they started accelerating after the drinks break at the end of 33 rd over and however managed to get to 211 after 46.1 overs.

They have got only 2 specialist Batsmen remaining in the form of Ross Taylor who is on 67 and Tom Latham who is on 3 with All-rounder Mitch Santner to come.

Kane Williamson and Taylor are the highest scorers upto now and both have got 67 runs upto now.

All the Indian bowlers were brilliant yesterday and each 5 of them got 1 wicket each.Going into the match today New Zealand will need atleast 250 plus on board and should try out their luck to the level best.

We all are hoping for a close encounter if the pitch remain the same condition as yesterday.

ICC World Cup 2019:Semi Final 1:Playing XI and match preview

Finally we are here in the Semi Finals after over a month of League stage matches as Black Caps are ready to take on Men in Blue in the first one of the two semi finals.

India had a consistent run throughout the series as they only lost one match against England. In the other side New Zealand started really well in league matches and lost all their last few matches.

Clearly and Surely India is having the upper mindset going into the match but given the day and conditions New Zealand is strong enough to beat India at any day.

Indian batting order looked bit weak for us given that they had only 6 specialist batsmen upfront. But addition of Jadeja gave them that much needed cushion going into the Semis. We are hoping that he will stick with the side today if they do not surprise us.

In New Zealand perspective,Ferguson is expected to come back into the team instead of Tim Southee.

Expected team for today's game is as follows;

INDIA

1.Rohit Sharma
2.KL Rahul
3.Virat Kohli (c)
4.Rishabh Pant
5.MS Dhoni (wk)
6.Hardik Pandya
7.Dinesh Karthik
8.Ravindra Jadeja
9.Mohammed Shami
10.Yuzvendra Chahal
11.Jasprit Bumrah

NEW ZEALAND

1.Martin Guptill
2.Colin Munro
3.Kane Williamson(c)
4.Ross Taylor
5.Tom Latham(wk)
6.James Neesham
7.Colin de Grandhomme
8.Mitchell Santner
9.Matt Henry
10.Lockie Ferguson
11.Trent Boult

ICC World Cup 2019:Semi Final arrangements changed as India and South Africa get wins on Super Saturday

You should have given a chance to India to win the last match against Sri Lanka but not surely South Africans to beat mighty Australia.

But South Africans being able to win by 10 runs against Australia has completely changed the semi final arrangements as India has become the table toppers after it.

With that win India will now take on the New Zealand team who is really struggling to find any momentum at the latter part of the tournament and Australia will take on English team.

First Semi final will be played on 9 th Tuesday at Manchester featuring India and New Zealand and second Semi Final will be played on 11 th Tuesday featuring Australia and England at Edgbaston.

This different arrangement at the last moment will surely give a different perspective to the tournamet and we will look forward for the most exciting week of International Cricket.

ICC World Cup 2019:SL vs IND:Sri Lanka sets a challenging score with a classy batting effort

It was a great game upto now as it is well balanced here at Leeds.Looking at the score board 264 runs on the board might not look dangerous to strong Indian batting line up.But taking into consider that the pitch has got slower and slower throughout the game,it would surely be a chase to be achieved.

Indian team started really well as usual and was able to get Sri Lankan Top heavy batting order into some concirn as they were 54 for 4 wickets at one stage. But talent of Angelo Mathews who got together with Thirimanne and De Silva took them over to 264,which can be a very good score in this pitch.

Highest scorer for Sri Lanka was Angelo Mathews who scored 113 runs off 128 balls.Lahiru Thirimanne supported him well with 53 runs.

Bumrah was the best bowler for India as usual as he took 3 wickets for 37 runs in his 10 overs.

This chase look worthy to watch and hope you won't miss a single ball from here now as India need 265 to win from 300 balls in a slow pitch.Watch Live Score of the match from our Live Score Box after the break.

ICC World Cup 2019:Sri Lanka vs India:Battle of Asian giants

Two teams who came up with completetly different reputations into the World Cup are going to lock their horns here at Leeds.

India came up with the expectation of winning the Worldcup and now have sealed a place in semis. In other side Sri Lankan ODI team came up after probably the worst 4 years of their cricket history after the retirement of their senior players.

But this World Cup has become a turning point to the Lankan lions as they have been able to seal the 6 th posistion in the table by beating England,West Indies and Afghanistan and with additional two washed out games.

If not for rain Lankans could have surely give an amazing fight for the Top 4 to join with them.Indian team is in the form of their life but the 7-4 combination with only 7 proper batsmen has add some weakness to the batting line up compared to the other teams with long middle order.

But Rohit Sharma and Virat Kholi has been able to hold the innings together for now.But MS Dhoni not being able to be effective specially in chases has become one of the resons for most of the expectators to say they are not yet upto mark.

This will be the final battle of arguably the best limited over bowler Lasith Malinga and the battle between him and the little master Virat Kholi for the final time will be a treat to watch for sure.

ICC World Cup 2019:Analysis on final battle for the last 2 semi final spots

The new format for the Cricket World Cup 2019 has created a lots of excitement for the final week despite of the washed out games as almost 7 teams were in the contest for the semi finals as final week came on.

But unfortunately Sri Lanka and Bangladesh had to get away from the contest although they have played brilliant cricket throughout the tournament. If not for 2 washed out games Sri Lanka had and one washed out game Bangladesh had, things could have been different as both the teams looked well on course for semi finals in the tournament.

Australia and India has already sealed their semi final spots and now the contest is between England ,Pakistan and New Zealand for the final 2 spots.

Talking about the game today,it is a must win for the England team as they are having 10 points under their name.Win today can surely seal their position at number 3 for the World Cup spot. But still they can qulify eventhough they loose the match if Pakistan loose to Bangladesh.

In Pakistans point of view they should now hope for New Zealand to beat England and if that happens, just a win in Bangladesh match will seal their place at semis.Otherwise they will have to win the Bangladesh match by a big margin that depends on net run rate after Today's game.So they can eliminate New Zealand.

It is going to be a never ending battle until the final day of league stage and we invite you all to watch all the matches live from our Live Score Box.

ICC World Cup 2019:New Zealand fight back after Pakistan's Star performance with the ball

A must win for Pakistan team here at Edgbaston is leading into one of the best battles in the World Cup after New Zealand being able to recover from 83 for 5 wickets to 237 for 6 wickets here in a bowler friendly pitch.

It all started with the amazing bowling performances from Shaheen Afridi and ever reliable Amir as New Zealand lost their top 5 wickets for just 83 runs and surely gave  a mini heart attack for others competing for the semi final spot.

But eventually they were able to recover from the tragedy as Neesham and Grandhomme was able to give an amazing fight back.

Jimmy Neesham was the highest scorer for New Zealand as he scored unbeaten 97 runs.Grandhomme was able to get 64 runs on the board.

Highest wicket taker for Pakistan was Shaheen who took 3 wickets for 28 runs.Amir and Shadab took 1 wicket each.

This score of 237 look highly competitive on this pitch but not unchasable for strong Pakistan batting line up.

Watch whether Pakistan will be able to chase this down and keep their hopes alive for Semi Finals from our Live Score Box.

ICC World Cup 2019:Pakistan vs South Africa match preview

Two teams which were expected to get into semis at the beigining of the tournament and who could not get any where near to their true potential throughout the World Cup are going to face each other in our Super Sunday here at London.

Both teams have only managed to get one win in the tournament and ranked at 8 th and 9 th positions of the tournament points table.Any team who are going to loose this match will get kicked out from the tournament and winning team can hope for a outside chance to get into semis.

With top 3 teams New Zealand,Australia and India looking like having a one step on Semis and with England,Sri Lanka and Bangladesh playing very good cricket to out class others, both Pakistan and South Africa will have to be on top of their game here after.

Sunny day is expected in London and pitch looks like having some kind of supportive conditions for the quality bowlers of the both teams.High responsibility will be on the hands of batsmen and any team which bat well has the ability to get a win here as bowlers in both departments look similar with the quality of bowling in a slight green pitch.

ICC World Cup 2019:England vs Afghanistan match preview and playing XI

Two teams who had completely different World Cups are set to lock their horns here at Manchester.Except for the unexpected defeat against Pakistan,England almost had the perfect World Cup coming upto now unless for little injury concirns.

On the other side Afghanistan came up to the World Cup with the same reputation as Sri Lanka,Windies and Bangladesh with their strong bowling attack and with the fact that they have beaten some good teams in recent times. But they were not even able to give a good fight in the matches they have played so far compared to other teams who have won atleast one match.

But still nothing impossible here in the Worldcup and if Pakistan can ,why not Afghanistan make an upset here.In the practise matches Afghanistan came to play with England after beating Pakistan and got beaten very comfortably by the tournament favourites.

England team is expected to try James Vince at the top in place of injured Jason Roy and Afghanistan is expected to play with extended batting line up.Probable XI for both teams are as follows;

11.Hamid Hassan

ICC World Cup 2019:India vs Australia match preview and playing XI

It is a day of tough competition as two of the major tournament favourites take on each other here at Oval.

Talking about the two teams, both are coming up with winning momentum behind them as Australia has won both matches they played upto now and India has won the only match they played against South Africa.

Few months ago we would have said India is the clear favourite here. But after Australia won the ODI series in India and as they also defeated Pakistan by 5-0 margin in last 3 months,we can assure that Aussies are not going to let India dominate them.

Oval is a good ground to bat on and average 1 st inning score here is 249,but anyone batting first should atleast look for a score of 290 as we reckon to have some edge over the opposition.

Possible playing XI for both team as per our suggestions is as follows:

AUSTRALIA

1.David Warner
2.Aaron Finch (c)
3.Usman Khawaja
4.Steven Smith
5.Marcus Stoinis
6.Glenn Maxwell
7.Alex Carey (wk)
8.Nathan Coulter-Nile
9.Pat Cummins
10.Mitchell Starc
11.Adam Zampa

INDIA

1.Rohit Sharma
2.Shikhar Dhawan
3.Virat Kohli (c)
4.KL Rahul
5.MS Dhoni (wk)

9.Kuldeep Yadav
10.Yuzvendra Chahal
11.Jasprit Bumrah

ICC World Cup 2019:Sri Lanka vs Pakistan preview and playing XI

Week ago both Pakistan and Sri Lanka was starving to get atleast one win in the table after loosing almost 10 plus consecutive matches. But just after 2 matches into the World Cup,these 2 asian giants have been able to get their names on the points table as they always do in big ICC Tournaments.

Both teams are coming into the game with winning momentum and you can never write them off whe it comes to Winning a World Cup.

Pakistan came back to the tournament with their great batting performance and Sri Lanka came back with their great Pace attack lead by Malinga and Nuwan Pradeep.

Going into the match Sri Lanka will be revealed as this pitch looks better for batting compared to the green pitches they got previously.

Average score here is better here in 1 st inning as it is 243 and second inning average is just 216.It indicates batting first and giving some score board pressure to opponent is not a bad decision at all.

Rain is expected and it can be a shortened game as it was between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

Pakistan might go with the same playing XI and Sri Lanka will most probably need their all rounder Jeewan Mendis to bat at number 7 with his Leg spinning option which will give more assuarance to the team.

Probable playing XI is as follows:

SRI LANKA

1.Dimuth Karunaratne (c)
2.Kusal Perera (wk)
3.Lahiru Thirimanne
4.Kusal Mendis
5.Angelo Mathews
6.Dhananjaya de Silva
7.Jeevan Mendis
8.Thisara Perera
9.Isuru Udana
10.Nuwan Pradeep
11.Lasith Malinga

PAKISTAN

1.Imam-ul-Haq
2.Fakhar Zaman
3.Babar Azam
4.Mohammad Hafeez
5.Sarfaraz Ahmed (c&wk)
6.Shoaib Malik
7.Asif Ali
8.Shadab Khan
9.Wahab Riaz
10.Hasan Ali
11.Mohammad Amir

ICC World Cup 2019::Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan :Pre Match Analysis and playing XI

It is a day of finding the winning momentum here at Cardiff as Sri Lanka take on Afghanistan. Both teams played very badly in the first match they played and both are starving for a win in the World Cup.

Although Sri Lankan batting line up has got some depth on the paper, their performance against New Zealand completely destroyed every expectation of Sri Lankan fans who had a belief on them.

On other side Afghanistan was poor too in both departments and surely must be desperate to get a win and make their country proud.

Going into the day weather forecast do not look good at all and definetly some interruptions are expected during the match.

Pitch is expected to have some help for the pace bowlers and we are expecting a low scoring game here as the average 1 st inning score here is low as 224.

Anyone batting first must look for a score around 270 here and as we think it will be enough for a good game.

Expected playing XI for both teams are as follows:

SRI LANKA

1.Dimuth Karunaratne (c)
2.Lahiru Thirimanne
3.Kusal Perera (wk)
4.Kusal Mendis
5.Dhananjaya de Silva
6.Angelo Matthews
7.Jeevan Mendis

ICC World Cup 2019:Bangladesh set a huge score in their World Cup Opener

Super Sunday was exciting upto now as we all expected as Bangladesh started their World Cup Campaign in a remarkable fashion.

It all started with South African captain winning the toss and choosing to bowl first.Being put into bat first Bangladesh started really well with 60 runs opening partnership. But lost 2 quick wickets of both openers.

Then experienced batting from Shakib and Rahim almost took the game away from South Africa with good finishing touch from the rest and ended up at 330 at the end of 50 overs.

Highest scorer for Bangladesh was ever reliable Rahim who scored 78 and Shakib added on 75.

South African bowlers were almost clueless but Tahir,Morris and Phehlukwayo managed to take 2 wickets each.

Target of 331 looks like a mountain to climb for South Africa who does not have a very good record in World Cup tournaments with handling pressure. But still disciplined and aggresive batting effort may help them to have a hope on this in a good batting pitch.

You can watch whether South Africans will be able to chase this down live on our score box now.

ICC World Cup 2019:Pak vs WI:Pakistan get bowled out for 105 runs

It is the time for the innings break in our second encounter of ICC World Cup 2019 as Pakistan Team get bowled out for just just 105 runs.

Earlier in the day Windies won the toss and decided to bowl first in cloudy conditions  here at Trent Bridge. As planned in bowling friendly conditions,Windies managed to get early wickets and add on some pressure to Top heavy Pakistan batting line up.

It was too much for Pakistan as they could not cope with the wonderful bowling and got bowled out for 105 runs by facing just 21.4 overs.

Oshane Thomas was the highest wicket taker for Windies as he took  4 wickets for 27 runs.Holder and Russell took 3 wickets and 2 wickets each.

Windies now need 106 runs to win in their 50 overs and already set to start the chase to get their first point on the table.

You can now watch the Windies second inning on our Live Score Box.

ICC worldcup 2019 :Classy England outclass South African line Up

It was a very good day at office for English boys as they succesfully got  over the first hurdle of their World Cup run by beating South Africa by a huge score of  104 runs.

It all started with South Africa winning the toss and deciding to bowl first.England were able to add a good score of 311 runs on the board by loosing 8 wickets and that score was not out of reach for South Africans.

But as usual in ICC events,South Africa messed up and was only able to get a score of 207 on the board.Jofra Archer who was the ex factor as we mentioned earlier took 3 wickets for just 27 runs and handed over a great victory for the boys in blue.

Player of the match was Ben Stokes for his 89 runs contribution, wonderful catch near the boundary and 2 wickets for just 12 runs.

It was a great start for the tournament and we all hope you all enjoyed our live coverage. We will come up with Live coverage of Pakistan vs Windies on usual time . Good bye from all of us for now!

ICC World Cup 2019 ENG vs SAF:Powerful South African Pace Attack limit Strong England line up for 311

It is that time of the year that we were eagerly waiting for and ICC 50 overs worldcup finally started with a bang as South Africa take on hosts England here at Oval.

South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first on a pitch we thought that had some assistance to bowlers early on.

It was not a great start with all the expectations to English team as they lost their 1 st wicket for just 1 run.But decent fifties from Roy,Root and Morgan built some momentum to the inning.

Most importantly 89 from Ben Stokes lead England to a respectable score of  311 for  8 wickets.Lungi Ngidi was the highest wicket taker for South Africa as he took 3 wickets for 66 runs in his 10 overs.

This score looks good on the board but still England could hv get around 340 plus if not for a good bowling effort by South Africans in a good pitch. As per the sitiuation at the break South Africans might have the chance of getting their first points on the table.

But still with ex factor of Archer ,England can defend this with disciplined bowling effort.

You can watch the Second inning live score on our web just after the break.Stay with us for further updates!

Sri Lankan World Cup Squad is ready to take on Scotland in their own back yard giving scotland a rare chance of quality International experience.

It is not only  an Oppurtunity for Scotland, but also a great experience for Sri Lankan limited over side to test their squad for the final time and to get some winning momentum back.

However Lankans will miss the service of  probably the World's best Death overs bowler Lasith Malinga as he is rested after a very succesful IPL season.

But this would give a good oppurtunity to Udana,Lakmal and Pradeep to get used to the conditions in typical English Conditions.

Expected Sri Lankan line up for the Today's match is as follows;

1.Dimuth Karunarathne
2.Lahiru Thirimanne/Thisara Perera

Pre Match Analysis as Table toppers Delhi Capitals take on Chennai Super Kings

Day has arrived for the clash between probably the best two teams in the tournment upto now to take on each other before the Play offs.

CSK came up with set of well experienced players into the tournament  and showed their maturity from the start of the tournament. In opposite Delhi Capitals started their tournament as probably the youngest and most inexperienced team of the tournament ,but was able to show up their young spirit and top the table at the end of 12 matches

Going into the day we have two uncertainities as Captain Cool MS Dhoni has not still come to his full fitness and did not show up in practises yesterday. As per the Coaches ,the final decision will be taken on him before the match.

Other one is weather report does not look really good tonight and expected some interruption if the predictions go right.

Lots of changes are not expected from both the line ups.But with arrival of Faf and Jadeja into the team,Murali Vijay and Bravo could be left for todays match based on the conditions.

It was a very good day for Pakistan ODI team yesterday after their series lost to Australia at home as they were able to get a comprehensive day out against Kent in their practise match.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first in a good pitch and were able to add on a huge score of 358 runs on the board in their 50 overs by loosing only 7 wickets.Imad Wasim was the star performer in batting as he was able to score unbeaten 117 runs in just 78 balls.

In reply Kent was only able to add on 258 runs by loosing all their 10 wickets, giving Pakistan team a big win by a margin of 100 runs.Alex Blake was the highest scorer for Kent as he scored 89 runs off just 48 balls.

Yasir Shah was the highest wicket taker but was expensive as he got 3 wickets for 90 runs.Faheem Ashraf,Hasan Ali and Fakhar Zaman took 2 wickets each for Pakistan.

Review and analysis on Sri Lankan Squad for the World Cup-Positives and Negatives

Sri Lanka finally released their 15 men Squad for the World Cup and only 3 players were different from the line up we expected as they have opted Avishka Fernando in place of Bhanuka Rajapaksha,Milinda Siriwardena instead of Akila Dananjaya and Nuwan Pradeep as the 4 th Pacer in the Squad.

Although there are lots of criticism about the selection,we do think the Squad looks pretty balance except for one or 2 players.

Dimuth being the captain ,he is likely to open up with Thirimanne who had a great run in Provincial Tournament. In this regard We see Avishka as a injury replacement and We do not expect him to be in the First XI as he averages 14.20 in ODI s and he was a failure in South Africa series as well as in Provincial Tournament.

At number 3 position we expect Kusal Janith as both Sri Lankan Openers are steady and slow Batsmen he could be used to score few quick runs if Openers can get a good start.

Angelo is probably the best Sri Lankan Batsman and most experienced and he is our obvious pick for No 4 position as he can be used to hold the inning.

At no 5 and 6 position Sri Lanka have got the option of using their young talents Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya De silva and inclusion of both of them looks as a good choice.

At no 7 Sri Lanka has got two options in Milinda Siriwardena who  is good Batsman who can contribute with 5 to 6 overs and their experienced Thisara Perera who is more of bowling all rounder.

We do prefer Siriwardena over Thisara as Thisara has become very poor with both departments of bowling as well as batting in Last ODI series as well as provincial tournament. But as Milinda has not been seen in the Squad, team selection will be surely be based on practise matches as well as per conditions.

Sri Lanka's Pace attack look good as Sri Lanka has Chosen Malinga,Lakmal and Pradeep who played in Champions trophy for Sri Lanka and who has got good experience back in English conditions.New addition for the Squad is Isuru Udana and we prefer him to be the second Pacer after Malinga as he is good in death overs plus he is a good batsman who can play at No.8 to extend the batting.

In spin department Sri Lanka has got Jeewan Mendis who is an all rounder and Vandersay and the selection of one out of him will be based specifically on conditions and performance in practise matches. But we do prefer Jeewan Mendis as he performed better than Vandersay in provincial tournament and he averages 20 as a Batsman and he is very good Batsman to be played at No 9.

Our expected line up as per the Squad is as follows:

1.D.Karunarathne
2.L.Thirimanne
3.Kusal Perera
4.A.Mathews
5.K.Mendis
6.D.De Silva
7.M.Siriwardena/T.Perera(Besed on conditions)
8..I.Udana
9.Jeewan Mendis
10.L.Malinga
11.S.Lakmal

Analysis on all the other 9 teams will be provided to you on our website sooner in our road to Worldcup.

Sri Lankan Squad for ICC World Cup 2019

Sri Lankan Limited over cricket team did not have a very good time in the middle after the retirement of their Legends Sangakkara,Mahela and T.M.Dilshan.Not only in the middle but also in selection they did have lots of confusion with trying out so many new players and changing the Captains.

After analysing recent performance in International matches and the Super Provincial Tournament we have come Up with the most Likely 15 member Squad to play in the Tournament.

Opening Combination for the Lankans have been quite a problem as Tharanga,Dickwella and Avishka were not able to get the required start and with recent success and Form Dimuth Karunarathne and Lahiru Thirimanne is set to get the responsibility of opening in the Worldcup to add stability to the team which has been loosing early wickets in the power play.

Talking about the middle order line up as pure batsman or batting all rounders Kusal Perera,Kusal Mendis,Bhanuka Rajapaksha ,Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya De Silva is likely to be included in the Team.

As bowling all rounders Isuru Udana,Jeewan Mendis and Thisara Perera is set to  get their duty in the World Cup and most likely Two of them is likely to play at No 8 and No 9 positions in line up to extend their batting line up.

As pure Fast Bowlers Lasith Malinga,Suranga Lakmal and Dushmantha Chameera is set to be in the Squad and Akila Dananjaya and Jeffrey Vandersay will be the two pure Spin Bowlers in the line up.

BATSMEN
1.Dimuth Karunarathne
2.Lahiru Thirimanne
3.Kusal Perera
4.Kusal Mendis
5.Bhanuka Rajapaksha

ALL ROUNDERS
6.Angelo Mathews
7.Dhananjaya Desilva
8.Isuru Udana
9.Jeewan Mendis
10.Thisara Perera

BOWLERS
11.Lasith Malinga
12.Suranga Lakmal
13.Dushmantha Chameera
14.Akila Dananjaya
15.Jeffrey Vandersay

Dale Steyn ready for a comeback in IPL

Experienced South African Fast Bowler Dale Steyn is set to comeback to IPL after missing Two seasons. He has been signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement to the injured Nathan Coulter-Nile .

Dale Steyn was unsold in the IPL auction after he missed two continous seasons due to injury problems. He finally played in IPL for Gujarat Lions way back in 2016.

RCB is having a tough and very unususal season as they have lost all 6 games upto now and still not able to make their mark in the points table.

Dale Steyn will surely will have a big responsibility on his shoulders as undoubtedly RCB is currently having the weakest bowling line up in the tournament.

But as per the news he will only be available after April 16 th and he will miss the next two games against Mumbai and Kings XI punjab.
