ICC World Cup 2019:Pakistan vs South Africa match preview

Two teams which were expected to get into semis at the beigining of the tournament and who could not get any where near to their true potential throughout the World Cup are going to face each other in our Super Sunday here at London.
Both teams have only managed to get one win in the tournament and ranked at 8 th and 9 th positions of the tournament points table.Any team who are going to loose this match will get kicked out from the tournament and winning team can hope for a outside chance to get into semis.
With top 3 teams New Zealand,Australia and India looking like having a one step on Semis and with England,Sri Lanka and Bangladesh playing very good cricket to out class others, both Pakistan and South Africa will have to be on top of their game here after.
Sunny day is expected in London and pitch looks like having some kind of supportive conditions for the quality bowlers of the both teams.High responsibility will be on the hands of batsmen and any team which bat well has the ab…

ICC World Cup 2019:England vs Afghanistan match preview and playing XI

Two teams who had completely different World Cups are set to lock their horns here at Manchester.Except for the unexpected defeat against Pakistan,England almost had the perfect World Cup coming upto now unless for little injury concirns.
On the other side Afghanistan came up to the World Cup with the same reputation as Sri Lanka,Windies and Bangladesh with their strong bowling attack and with the fact that they have beaten some good teams in recent times. But they were not even able to give a good fight in the matches they have played so far compared to other teams who have won atleast one match.
But still nothing impossible here in the Worldcup and if Pakistan can ,why not Afghanistan make an upset here.In the practise matches Afghanistan came to play with England after beating Pakistan and got beaten very comfortably by the tournament favourites.
England team is expected to try James Vince at the top in place of injured Jason Roy and Afghanistan is expected to play with extended ba…

ICC World Cup 2019:India vs Australia match preview and playing XI

It is a day of tough competition as two of the major tournament favourites take on each other here at Oval.
Talking about the two teams, both are coming up with winning momentum behind them as Australia has won both matches they played upto now and India has won the only match they played against South Africa.
Few months ago we would have said India is the clear favourite here. But after Australia won the ODI series in India and as they also defeated Pakistan by 5-0 margin in last 3 months,we can assure that Aussies are not going to let India dominate them.
Oval is a good ground to bat on and average 1 st inning score here is 249,but anyone batting first should atleast look for a score of 290 as we reckon to have some edge over the opposition.
Possible playing XI for both team as per our suggestions is as follows:
1.David Warner 2.Aaron Finch (c) 3.Usman Khawaja 4.Steven Smith 5.Marcus Stoinis 6.Glenn Maxwell 7.Alex Carey (wk) 8.Nathan Coulter-Nile 9.Pat Cummins 10.Mitchell S…

ICC World Cup 2019:Sri Lanka vs Pakistan preview and playing XI

Week ago both Pakistan and Sri Lanka was starving to get atleast one win in the table after loosing almost 10 plus consecutive matches. But just after 2 matches into the World Cup,these 2 asian giants have been able to get their names on the points table as they always do in big ICC Tournaments.
Both teams are coming into the game with winning momentum and you can never write them off whe it comes to Winning a World Cup.
Pakistan came back to the tournament with their great batting performance and Sri Lanka came back with their great Pace attack lead by Malinga and Nuwan Pradeep.
Going into the match Sri Lanka will be revealed as this pitch looks better for batting compared to the green pitches they got previously.
Average score here is better here in 1 st inning as it is 243 and second inning average is just 216.It indicates batting first and giving some score board pressure to opponent is not a bad decision at all.
Rain is expected and it can be a shortened game as it was between Sr…

ICC World Cup 2019::Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan :Pre Match Analysis and playing XI

It is a day of finding the winning momentum here at Cardiff as Sri Lanka take on Afghanistan. Both teams played very badly in the first match they played and both are starving for a win in the World Cup.
Although Sri Lankan batting line up has got some depth on the paper, their performance against New Zealand completely destroyed every expectation of Sri Lankan fans who had a belief on them.
On other side Afghanistan was poor too in both departments and surely must be desperate to get a win and make their country proud.
Going into the day weather forecast do not look good at all and definetly some interruptions are expected during the match.
Pitch is expected to have some help for the pace bowlers and we are expecting a low scoring game here as the average 1 st inning score here is low as 224.
Anyone batting first must look for a score around 270 here and as we think it will be enough for a good game.
Expected playing XI for both teams are as follows:
1.Dimuth Karunaratne (c) …

ICC World Cup 2019:Pakistan set a historic chase to comeback

Unpredictable Pakistan they said!very well said!It was a great performance by Pakistan with the bat after putting into bat first in a very good pitch here at Trent Bridge.
It all started with England winning the toss and deciding to bowl first,Being put into bat first Pakistan openers got into a great start with 82 runs partnership.
All the batsmen continued the good start given by openers as they were able to end up at 348 runs for 8 wickets.Highest scorer for Pakistan was Mohammad Hafeez who scored 84 .Babar Azam and Sarfraz Ahmed scored well played half centuries as well.
Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali took 2 wickets each for Pakistan. With these magnificent batting effort Pakistan has set the highest chase to be acheived to this strong batting line up .
You can watch whether England will be able to chase this down after the break on our Live Score Box.

ICC World Cup 2019:Pakistan vs England:Pre Match Analysis and playing XI

It is all set for the 5 th day of the World Cup as Champions Trophy winners Pakistan is ready to take on England who had edge over them in recent past.
Both teams come into the match with completely contrasting experiences in 1 st match and England is considered as the favourite coming into the match.
But still anything can happen as Pakistan always has that unpredictability in their game and has got the potential to beat any team on their day.
Match is set to be played at Trent Bridge and is expected to be a good one for batsmen.Average 1 st inning score here is 249 ,but 350 has also been chased in recent past.
There will be some help for the bowlers early in the morning and anyone who win the toss is expected to bowl.
Probable playing XI for the match is as follows:
1.Imam-ul-Haq 2.Fakhar Zaman 3.Babar Azam 4.Haris Sohail 5.Sarfaraz Ahmed 6.Mohammad Hafeez 7.Imad Wasim 8.Shadab Khan 9.Hasan Ali 10.Wahab Riaz 11.Mohammad Amir

ICC World Cup 2019:Bangladesh set a huge score in their World Cup Opener

Super Sunday was exciting upto now as we all expected as Bangladesh started their World Cup Campaign in a remarkable fashion.
It all started with South African captain winning the toss and choosing to bowl first.Being put into bat first Bangladesh started really well with 60 runs opening partnership. But lost 2 quick wickets of both openers.
Then experienced batting from Shakib and Rahim almost took the game away from South Africa with good finishing touch from the rest and ended up at 330 at the end of 50 overs.
Highest scorer for Bangladesh was ever reliable Rahim who scored 78 and Shakib added on 75.
South African bowlers were almost clueless but Tahir,Morris and Phehlukwayo managed to take 2 wickets each.
Target of 331 looks like a mountain to climb for South Africa who does not have a very good record in World Cup tournaments with handling pressure. But still disciplined and aggresive batting effort may help them to have a hope on this in a good batting pitch.
You can watch whethe…

ICC World Cup 2019:Sri Lanka vs New Zealand:Pre match analysis and Playing Xi

It is all set for the first Weekend of the World Cup campaign as Sri Lanka is ready to take on New Zealand here at Cardiff.
New look Sri Lankan team might be starting as the weak team but certainly they look very strong on paper with good depth in batting. In other side Black Caps will have a huge pressure to start well here as one of the tournament favourites.
Average 1 st inning score at Cardiff is 227 and highest chased score is 304 runs.Pitch will have certain help for the bowlers early in the morning and might look helpful for the spin bowlers in evening.
Expected playing XI for the both teams is as follows;
1.Dimuth Karunarathne 2.Lahiru Thirimanne 3.Kusal Mendis 4.Angelo Mathews 5.Dhananjaya De Silva 6.Kusal Perera 7.Thisara Perera 8.Isuru Udana 9.Jeewan Mendis 10.Lasith Malinga 11.Nuwan Pradeep

ICC World Cup 2019:Pak vs WI:Pakistan get bowled out for 105 runs

It is the time for the innings break in our second encounter of ICC World Cup 2019 as Pakistan Team get bowled out for just just 105 runs.
Earlier in the day Windies won the toss and decided to bowl first in cloudy conditions  here at Trent Bridge. As planned in bowling friendly conditions,Windies managed to get early wickets and add on some pressure to Top heavy Pakistan batting line up.
It was too much for Pakistan as they could not cope with the wonderful bowling and got bowled out for 105 runs by facing just 21.4 overs.
Oshane Thomas was the highest wicket taker for Windies as he took  4 wickets for 27 runs.Holder and Russell took 3 wickets and 2 wickets each.
Windies now need 106 runs to win in their 50 overs and already set to start the chase to get their first point on the table.
You can now watch the Windies second inning on our Live Score Box.

ICC worldcup 2019 :Classy England outclass South African line Up

It was a very good day at office for English boys as they succesfully got  over the first hurdle of their World Cup run by beating South Africa by a huge score of  104 runs.
It all started with South Africa winning the toss and deciding to bowl first.England were able to add a good score of 311 runs on the board by loosing 8 wickets and that score was not out of reach for South Africans.
But as usual in ICC events,South Africa messed up and was only able to get a score of 207 on the board.Jofra Archer who was the ex factor as we mentioned earlier took 3 wickets for just 27 runs and handed over a great victory for the boys in blue.
Player of the match was Ben Stokes for his 89 runs contribution, wonderful catch near the boundary and 2 wickets for just 12 runs.
It was a great start for the tournament and we all hope you all enjoyed our live coverage. We will come up with Live coverage of Pakistan vs Windies on usual time . Good bye from all of us for now!

ICC World Cup 2019 ENG vs SAF:Powerful South African Pace Attack limit Strong England line up for 311

It is that time of the year that we were eagerly waiting for and ICC 50 overs worldcup finally started with a bang as South Africa take on hosts England here at Oval.
South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first on a pitch we thought that had some assistance to bowlers early on.
It was not a great start with all the expectations to English team as they lost their 1 st wicket for just 1 run.But decent fifties from Roy,Root and Morgan built some momentum to the inning.
Most importantly 89 from Ben Stokes lead England to a respectable score of  311 for  8 wickets.Lungi Ngidi was the highest wicket taker for South Africa as he took 3 wickets for 66 runs in his 10 overs.
This score looks good on the board but still England could hv get around 340 plus if not for a good bowling effort by South Africans in a good pitch. As per the sitiuation at the break South Africans might have the chance of getting their first points on the table.
But still with ex factor of Archer ,England can def…

Sri Lanka vs Scotland Pre Match Analysis

Sri Lankan World Cup Squad is ready to take on Scotland in their own back yard giving scotland a rare chance of quality International experience.
It is not only  an Oppurtunity for Scotland, but also a great experience for Sri Lankan limited over side to test their squad for the final time and to get some winning momentum back.
However Lankans will miss the service of  probably the World's best Death overs bowler Lasith Malinga as he is rested after a very succesful IPL season.
But this would give a good oppurtunity to Udana,Lakmal and Pradeep to get used to the conditions in typical English Conditions.
Expected Sri Lankan line up for the Today's match is as follows;
1.Dimuth Karunarathne 2.Lahiru Thirimanne/Thisara Perera 3.Kusal Perera 4.Angelo Mathews 5.Kusal Mendis 6.Dhananjaya De Silva 7.Milinda Siriwardena 8.Isuru Udana 9.Jeewan Mendis 10.Suranga Lakmal 11.Nuwan Pradeep
As per the News SL Head coach has proposed an idea of testing Thisara as an opener, but if he is not ch…

2 nd ODI Pakistan vs England:Pre Match analysis

It was a wash out in Oval as Pakistan took on England in the 1 st ODI.But conditions have become much better going into the second ODI in Southampton as Pakistan look forward to find some form before Worldcup.
With around 3 weeks for the World cup both teams are highly looking forward  to test their players with a full ODI series without interruptions.
Although it is hard to make assumptions about the pitch,it looks promising for batting .But with rain around and cloud forecast in morning, whoever batting 1 st might look forward to bowl first.
For England Jason Roy and Moeen Ali is expected to come for the second ODI and for Pakistan Shoaib Malik is expected to comeback to the second ODI.
Expected line up for the both teams are as follows:
1.I.Ul-Haq 2.F.Zaman 3.B.Azam 4.Sohail 5.S.Ahmed 6.S.Malik 7.I.Wasim 8.F.Ashraf 9.Hasan Ali 10.M.Amir 11.S.Afridi

Pre Match Analysis as Table toppers Delhi Capitals take on Chennai Super Kings

Day has arrived for the clash between probably the best two teams in the tournment upto now to take on each other before the Play offs.
CSK came up with set of well experienced players into the tournament  and showed their maturity from the start of the tournament. In opposite Delhi Capitals started their tournament as probably the youngest and most inexperienced team of the tournament ,but was able to show up their young spirit and top the table at the end of 12 matches
Going into the day we have two uncertainities as Captain Cool MS Dhoni has not still come to his full fitness and did not show up in practises yesterday. As per the Coaches ,the final decision will be taken on him before the match.
Other one is weather report does not look really good tonight and expected some interruption if the predictions go right.
Lots of changes are not expected from both the line ups.But with arrival of Faf and Jadeja into the team,Murali Vijay and Bravo could be left for todays match based on th…

Pakistan get a comprehensive win in Practise Match

It was a very good day for Pakistan ODI team yesterday after their series lost to Australia at home as they were able to get a comprehensive day out against Kent in their practise match.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first in a good pitch and were able to add on a huge score of 358 runs on the board in their 50 overs by loosing only 7 wickets.Imad Wasim was the star performer in batting as he was able to score unbeaten 117 runs in just 78 balls.
In reply Kent was only able to add on 258 runs by loosing all their 10 wickets, giving Pakistan team a big win by a margin of 100 runs.Alex Blake was the highest scorer for Kent as he scored 89 runs off just 48 balls.
Yasir Shah was the highest wicket taker but was expensive as he got 3 wickets for 90 runs.Faheem Ashraf,Hasan Ali and Fakhar Zaman took 2 wickets each for Pakistan.
Full match summary is as follows:
PAKISTAN                                         358-7(50 overs)

Review and analysis on Sri Lankan Squad for the World Cup-Positives and Negatives

Sri Lanka finally released their 15 men Squad for the World Cup and only 3 players were different from the line up we expected as they have opted Avishka Fernando in place of Bhanuka Rajapaksha,Milinda Siriwardena instead of Akila Dananjaya and Nuwan Pradeep as the 4 th Pacer in the Squad.
Although there are lots of criticism about the selection,we do think the Squad looks pretty balance except for one or 2 players.
Dimuth being the captain ,he is likely to open up with Thirimanne who had a great run in Provincial Tournament. In this regard We see Avishka as a injury replacement and We do not expect him to be in the First XI as he averages 14.20 in ODI s and he was a failure in South Africa series as well as in Provincial Tournament.
At number 3 position we expect Kusal Janith as both Sri Lankan Openers are steady and slow Batsmen he could be used to score few quick runs if Openers can get a good start.
Angelo is probably the best Sri Lankan Batsman and most experienced and he is our …

Sri Lankan Squad for ICC World Cup 2019

Sri Lankan Limited over cricket team did not have a very good time in the middle after the retirement of their Legends Sangakkara,Mahela and T.M.Dilshan.Not only in the middle but also in selection they did have lots of confusion with trying out so many new players and changing the Captains.
After analysing recent performance in International matches and the Super Provincial Tournament we have come Up with the most Likely 15 member Squad to play in the Tournament.
Opening Combination for the Lankans have been quite a problem as Tharanga,Dickwella and Avishka were not able to get the required start and with recent success and Form Dimuth Karunarathne and Lahiru Thirimanne is set to get the responsibility of opening in the Worldcup to add stability to the team which has been loosing early wickets in the power play.
Talking about the middle order line up as pure batsman or batting all rounders Kusal Perera,Kusal Mendis,Bhanuka Rajapaksha ,Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya De Silva is likely…

Dale Steyn ready for a comeback in IPL

Experienced South African Fast Bowler Dale Steyn is set to comeback to IPL after missing Two seasons. He has been signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement to the injured Nathan Coulter-Nile .
Dale Steyn was unsold in the IPL auction after he missed two continous seasons due to injury problems. He finally played in IPL for Gujarat Lions way back in 2016.
RCB is having a tough and very unususal season as they have lost all 6 games upto now and still not able to make their mark in the points table.
Dale Steyn will surely will have a big responsibility on his shoulders as undoubtedly RCB is currently having the weakest bowling line up in the tournament.
But as per the news he will only be available after April 16 th and he will miss the next two games against Mumbai and Kings XI punjab.

5 th ODI Preview :Pakistan and Australia set to have their final preperations for World Cup

It is All set for a very important  ODI between Australia and Pakistan as Australia look for 5-0 White wash in the series and also Pakistan is ready to prepare themselves for the world cup for the final time.

Australia coming up with a magnificent sereis win against India ,Pakistan squad named for the series was always not strong enough as they rested some experienced players.

But both teams had their moments in their series as except for Australia's dominant show Pakistan also managed to find some new faces into the worldcup as they mentioned their main aim is to test their bench strength for the World Cup.

But tommorow's game will be a big challenge for them as a crushing defeat before World Cup will not help their mind set and momentum going into world cup.

Probable playing XI for the final ODI is as follows:

1.Imam ul Haq
2.Abid Ali
3.Haris Sohail
4.Mohammad Rizwan (wk)
5.Saad Ali
6.Umar Akmal
7.Imad Wasim (c)
8.Junaid Khan
9.Usman Shinwari
10.Mohammad Amir

It is always nice to be able to comeback-Richardson speak about their preperation for the Pakistan series

Kane Richardson had a tough time recently and had to stay from the Australian side  in their limited over series in which they were able to beat India at their home comfortably.
He was included in the T20 side which was touring India and missed out the series due to a side injury which he picked while preparing for the 1 st T20I.But he has been able to recover from the injury and is eagerly waiting to join the Australian Team in ODI series against Pakistan .
'' I thought I was done for the season ,So it is always nice to get a positive and be able to comeback and play some sort of cricket'' Richardson express his ideas in Dubai.

He additionaly said that all the players are set to welcome Warner and Smith Duo back after their Ban which is set to end on 29th March.

Team suggestion for the Worldcup-Sri Lankan Fan view

It's the debate between experience and inexperience. Especially in a world cup tournament we cannot trust a new look team. Yes, the players may be talented, but the benefit of the doubt should go with the experience. The below team as I mentioned, they have been playing without Mahela and Sanga since 2015. Eventhough they failed in recent months they have the world cup experience. So, these are not alien conditions for those players. This is the best squad Sri Lanka is having at the moment. Every game is pretty important in a world cup tournament. Sri Lanka gotta utilize these players and gotta get the maximum. Furthermore, In a world cup tournament all the teams are coming with some pressure. The team who can absorb and do the handling part are gonna win the match. Finally, Sri Lanka cannot be underestimated anyhow. Their performances in ICC events are impeccable. Sri Lanka must forget the negatives what had happened in the past and gotta come up with the positives to win the WO…

3 rd ODI Sri Lanka vs South Africa Preview:Playing XI for the match

South Africans were able to show up with a very good performance in both ODI matches after a very poor show in the Test series.
But still being bowled out for 250 runs,it was more of a Lankan's poor batting show that helped South Africans get an easy win in the second ODI and South Africa can't surely be happy about their batting performance with World Cup coming up.
In Sri Lanka's point of view it was more over nothing performance by them so far in the series and Lankan's will surely have to strengthen their batting line up by removing half players like Thisara perera from top 7 and by putting up new opening pair to get them a good start.
As we expect the possible playing XI for Lankan's can be as follows;
1.Avishka Fernando 2.Upul Tharanga 3.Kusal Janith 4.Oshada Fernando 5.Kusal Mendis 6.Dananjaya De Silva 7.Kamindu Mendis 8.Thisara Perera 9.Isuru Udana 10.Akila Dananjaya 11.Lasith Malinga
Sri Lanka strictly need 7 proper Batsmen in the side and Thisara and Isu…

Did poor selection cost Sri Lanka the chance to win an ODI in South African soil?-Sri Lankan fan view

Poor selection has destroyed the triumph. This is not the team that we expected. After losing two wickets during the first phase, it's okay. But during the middle phase(11-40) Sri Lanka have lost 6 wickets. Jeez, that is too much. Sri Lanka gotta focus, especially the middle phase. Middle phases gotta deal with ones, twos and threes. If there is any loose bowling the batsmen can whack those into the boundaries.
Furthermore, Sandakan is an unstable player. Most of us doesn't know why he has been put into the best eleven by the Sri Lankan selectors. Well, it is the time to rethink again... Next match Kamindu Mendis gotta replace Sandakan. Kamindu Mendis has the ability to bowl with two hands plus he is a good batter too...
Accordingly, Sri Lanka can strengthen their batting lineup by adding an all-rounder. So, 5 specialist batsmen, 3 all-rounders and  3 specialist bowlers. This will assist to balance the team.
Moreover, if a batting first team can get runs between 80 to 100 runs …

Captain Williamson praise players effort to take a comfortable win

It was a very comfortable win for New Zealand boys against the experienced Bangladesh line up in the 1 st Test as they were able to win it by an Innings and 52 runs.
Pitch was a paradise for Batsmen and it was a very flat pitch to bat on.New Zealand bowlers were pretty patient to make a win out of it as Bangladesh Batsmen were able to score freely in the second inning of the game.
Sarkar and Mahamadulla were able to get their career best scores in the match and it reflected back to the great Partnership by Mathews and Kusal Mendis back in December which gave Sri Lanka a well earned Draw.
But New Zealand bowlers did not let Bangladesh get away from them as they were able to dismiss them quickly after partnership was broken.
Captain Williamson was happy about the patience shown by his bowlers and with the win New Zealand continue to dominate Bangladesh as they take early lead by 1-0.

Can confident Sri Lanka Comeback with an ODI series win before Worldcup?

The first ODI is between SL and SA will be held on 3rd of March 2019 at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. 30,000 people can watch in the stadium. Corlett Drive and Golf Course are the two ends of the ground. 312 and 227 runs are the average runs for the both first and second innings respectively. Six ODIs have already played at this ground. 3 matches have been won by bowling first and 3 matches by batting first. So, the stats evoke a 50-50 possibility.
Accordingly, modern games always have a trend to bat second. Yes, it's pretty good to look at the score and make a plan towards the target.
On the other hand, 439 is the highest score recorded for the first innings. So, a captain might think 'WIN THE TOSS BAT FIRST.' Actually all the things gotta come into play according to the given pitch. So, the best 11 gotta discuss during the last hour.
In addition, From Sri Lanka perspective seven batsmen and four bowlers gotta play in the team. Three seamers and a spinner are gonna…

Sri Lanka name strong Squad for South Africa ODI Series

Ahead of the very exciting ICC Cricket Worldcup Sri Lanka seems to be going in the right direction as they have been able to add lots of positives into the team after their historical Test win against South Africa in South Africa.
One of the major positives is that Akila Dananjaya has been cleared by ICC to bowl again in international matches .Also Lankans have been able to add some very exciting new players into the squad after changing of the selection commitee.
Sri Lanka has given chances to many new players and players who were out of the squad in the South African series.
Experienced Upul Tharanga,Isuru Udana and Akila Dananjaya are major comebacks to the team and they have also added 6 new faces into the team who are yet to play matches and players who have played just 1 or 2 matches.
Lasith Malinga will continue as the Lankan Captain and full Squad for the series is as follows:
1.Lasith Malinga(c) 2.Avishka Fernando 3.Upul Tharanga  4.Niroshan Dickwella(vc) 5.Kusal Perera 6.Ku…

Strong New Zealand make it 2-0

It was another great day for the boys in black as they were able to completely outplay the Bangladesh team and was able to take a comfortable series win with 1 match remaining to be played.

Earlier in the match New Zealand won the toss and decided to field first.Accepting the invitation to bat Bangladesh could only add 226 runs to the scoreboard by loosing all their 10 wickets.

In reply New Zealand only needed 36.1 overs to wrap up the win as they acheived the target by loosing only 2 wickets.

Martin Guptill played exceptionally well for New Zealand to get them an easy win as he scored 118 runs off just 88 balls.

Player of the match was Martin Guptill.

With that win series has been decided and we have got 1 dead rubber match to go and it will be a good chance for Bangladesh to test their side before Worldcup in pacer friendly conditions.

Full match summary is as follows:

BANGLADESH                    226-10(49.4 overs)

M.Mithun            57           L.Ferguson      4-43
