Sri Lanka vs New Zealand xi :Match analysis

It was not a very good start for the Lankans in the practise match as few wickets felt earlier in the inning.

But Anjelo Mathews was able to get a century which added a silver ray to the dark sky.

As the reply for Lankan inning New zeland xi reached 270 runs taking a 60 runs lead.

Sri Lankan Batsmen found their form in second inning as each and every batsmen was able to get some score under their name before thay declared at 321 loosing just 5 wickets.

At the end of 3 rd day match was drawn as Newzeland xi were playing their second inning at 139 loosing just 2 wickets when the target was 261.

For Lankan's point of view Century from Anjelo Mathews,Half centuries from Gunathilaka and  Kusal Mendis were the plus points in batting and Sri Lankan spinners being able to get 4 wickets in relatively unhelpful conditions would boost their moral a bit going into the test as Rangana Herath is not there.
