1 st Test Sri Lanka vs New Zealand:4 th day analysis

A dream day for Sri Lanka as they have added on 239 runs in the day without loosing any wicket.

At th start of the day we all felt like this match is going to end as one sided affair but Kusal Mendis and Anjelo Mathews had other ideas as they were able bring up huge 246 runs unbeaten partnership to take Sri Lanka close to taking a good lead.

At the end of the day Kusal Mendis remained on 116 not out and Anjelo Mathews remained on 117 not out.

Their deficit has now decreased upto 37 runs with 7 wickets still remaining in the hand and 1 day to go.

This match is highly likely to end up as a draw if not something very special happen. In Sri Lanka's point of view they should atleaset get a lead around 150 from here to try their best in bowling in 5 th day pitch if they are willing to take the risk.

In New Zealand's perspective they are just away from one or two quick wickets to get the momentum back into their hut.

It will surely be a fascinating contest to watch with fairly even two teams going onto 5 th day.

Match summary at the end of 4 th day is as follows:
