Being 9 for 3 it looked like one sided affair here but former captain Anjelo Mathews and Dimuth Karunarathne was able to built on solid 133 runs partnership before Dimuth gifted his wicket for nothing delievery.
Captain Chandimal did not stay long but Niroshan Dickwella who combined with tail enders managed to get Lankans to a very good score of 275 for 9 at the end of the day.
Average 1 st inning score here at Wellington is 309 and if Lankans can add on another 20 to 25 runs it won't be easy for Newzeland as average score drops here down to 144 in 4 th inning .
