Sri Lankan cricket board appoints new selection panel-Team selection for the worldcup

Sri Lankan team is going through a very tough period as they are not able to match to their expectations and in a mess in finding what team combination looks the ideal to go into worldcup.

On our analysis only two teams have found the ideal combination in their ODI teams and they are England and India.

Based on comparisons,examples and analysis we suggested a player like Dhananjaya Desilva is ideal for No3 spot and it seems good in Sri lanka's test side although still they have not given him chance at ODI to play at No 3.As we reckon Karunarathne at opening spot  and Dhananjaya Desilva at no 3 is the only 2 spots stabilised in lankan test team.

We also suggested Anjelo Mathews should bat at no 5,Asela Gunarathne at 6 and Kamindu Mendis should be given a chance in ODI side as going into English conditions as we have to use 3 main pacers in English conditions.

So as India use Krunal at no 7 our suggestion is give Kamindu a chance at No 7 so sri lanka can go with 3 pacers and one main spinner and Kamindu can be used as second option as he looks good in batting and bowling more than most of current players now.

How ever Sri Lanka has appointed a new selection commitee led by Mr.Ashantha De Mel and panel will comprised of Mr.Brendon Kuruppu,Mr,Hemantha Wickramarathne and Mr.Chaminda Mendis.

They will start their duties  with New Zeland tour starting on December 15 th.
